Profile and Security Settings

Overview

You can manage your personal profile, preferences, and security settings from the account menu.

This includes:

  • Profile information 
  • Password and login settings 
  • Two-factor authentication (2FA) 
  • UI preferences and notifications

Access

Top-right menu → ME

  • My Profile 
  • Preferences 
  • Change Password

Update profile

Update basic user information such as name and email.

Steps

  1. Open top-right menu 
  2. Click My Profile 
  3. Update fields 
  4. Save changes

Change password

Steps

  1. Open top-right menu 
  2. Click Change Password 
  3. Enter current and new password 
  4. Confirm

Reset password

If you forgot your password:

Steps

  1. On the login screen, click Forgot your password? 
  2. Enter your email 
  3. Follow the reset link sent to your email

Notes

  • Only registered emails can receive reset links 
  • The reset link is secure and time-limited

Change login email

Steps

  1. Open top-right menu 
  2. Click Preferences 
  3. Update email 
  4. Enter password to confirm

Two-factor authentication (2FA)

2FA adds an extra layer of security by requiring a verification code from a mobile device.

Important

Do not enable 2FA for accounts used by automated integrations (for example, API users or listeners)

Enable 2FA

  1. Open top-right menu 
  2. Click Preferences 
  3. Enable Two-Factor Authentication 
  4. Scan QR code using an authenticator app 
  5. Enter verification code

Login with 2FA

After enabling 2FA:

  1. Enter username and password 
  2. Enter verification code from your device

Recovery codes

When enabling 2FA, recovery codes are generated.

  • Each code can be used once 
  • Use them if you lose access to your device

To view or regenerate:

  • Open My Profile 
  • Locate 2FA settings

Confirm that your team has set up two-factor authentication

You must be an admin to access this screen. 

Go to Users and check the 2FA column.

Locked out of 2FA? If you lose access to your authenticator app and recovery codes, a tenant administrator or super administrator can disable Etlworks two-factor authentication for your account (10.0.0 and later) so you can sign in and re-enroll. See Users, Roles, and Tenants. This affects Etlworks 2FA only — MFA required by an external identity provider is managed by that provider.

Preferences

Preferences control UI behavior and user experience.

Available options

  • Color theme 
  • Default menu option 
  • Remember filters value (sticky filters) 
  • Hide flow execution notifications. This is useful in environments with frequent Flow activity.
  • Expandable tags (allows expandable/collapsible tags)
  • Distraction-free mode 
  • Auto-select first connection/format

Billing

Account admin can access billing portal and change the billing account owner.

Note: This option is available only for customers on self-managed subscription plans.

  1. Open Preferences in the account menu
  2. Select Billing Account 
  3. Click Edit
  4. Enter New Email and Current password
  5. Click Update
