Overview
Recycle Bin allows you to restore deleted artifacts.
Supported artifact types:
- Flows
- Connections
- Listeners
- Formats
- Integration Agents
When restoring an artifact, Etlworks automatically restores its dependencies.
Examples:
- A Flow will restore required Connections, Formats, or macros
- Related objects are restored together to ensure the artifact works correctly
Access
Recycle Bin is available from multiple screens.
From Flows
Open the Flows screen and click the Recycle Bin icon.
From Connections, Formats, and Listeners
Open the Connections screen and click the Recycle Bin icon.
This also applies to:
- Formats
- Listeners
From Agents
Open the Agents screen and click the Recycle Bin icon.
Using Recycle Bin
The Recycle Bin displays deleted artifacts and allows you to restore them.
Filter artifacts
You can filter the list by:
- Artifact type (Flows, Connections, etc.)
- Artifact name
View details
Select an artifact to see:
- Artifact name and type
- Deletion time and user
- Dependency information
Dependencies show which related objects will be restored.
Restore artifacts
To restore:
- Select one or more artifacts
- Click Restore or Restore Selected
When restoring an artifact:
- All required dependencies are restored automatically
- Existing active dependencies are reused when possible
Non-restorable artifacts
Some artifacts cannot be restored.
Enable Show non-restorable history to view them.
Typical reasons:
- Missing required metadata
- Artifact created before recycle bin tracking was introduced
Notes
- Restore operations are safe and do not overwrite existing objects
- Dependencies are resolved automatically
- Recycle Bin provides a quick recovery mechanism for accidental deletions
