Overview
Etlworks is a web-based application with an intuitive and easy-to-use interface designed for both technical and business users.
Elements of the user interface
1. Left navigation panel: Contains menu items such as Connections, Flows, Schedules, Agents, and more.
2. Object Editor or Object Grid: Building blocks and Editors
3. Create button: Allows you to create new objects.
4. Global search & Top navigation bar Global search, Shortcuts, Notifications, Account menu
5. Simba: AI Agent
Collapse the left navigation panel
You can collapse the left navigation panel by clicking or dragging its edge, making more space available for the editor.
Navigate the user interface
- Use breadcrumbs to move back and forward through screens.
- Most grids include links to detail screens for quick access.
- From a detail screen, click Cancel or Back to return.
Get help
In the top navigation bar, you will see two help icons:
- Chatbot icon – Opens the embedded AI Assistant, trained on the Etlworks knowledge base. Use it to ask questions in natural language and get instant help.
- Documentation icon – Opens the full Etlworks documentation in a new window.
In-App Notifications
In-app Notifications Center that delivers important information directly inside the application.
Account menu
Click your company account name (top-right corner) to open the account menu.
Open Etlworks in multiple browser tabs
Etlworks can be opened in multiple browser tabs simultaneously. In the left navigation bar, right-click on the app icon for the area you want (Connections, Flows, etc.) and select Open link in new tab. Open as many tabs as you need; each runs independently.
For example, with the Flows window open in the current tab, right-click the Connections icon to open Connections in a fresh tab.
