Use Metadata Selector to configure transformations and Mapping in Flows

Use Metadata Selector

While configuring the source-to-destination transformation or Mapping, the user can select the source or destination (table, view, endpoint, file name, etc.) and/or a column name in the Metadata Selector. 

Step 1. Click ▼.

Step 2. Select an object from the list.

You can quickly filter objects by name or by type. To filter by type, toggle one or multiple type-tags at the top of the screen:

 Step 3. Double-click on the selected object.

Refresh Metadata

When Etlworks connects to any data source, it retrieves available metadata such as table names, view names, files names, column names, etc. The metadata is stored in the cache for faster retrieval. 

When the user is looking for a particular table or column, it might not appear in the Metadata Selector because the previous version of the metadata was already cached. 

To refresh the metadata, click the refresh button in the top-right corner of the metadata selector popup.
