In-app Notifications

Overview

Etlworks includes a built-in In-app Notifications Center that delivers important information directly inside the application.

Notifications appear in the top toolbar and provide updates about:

• New product releases

• Recently installed updates

• Platform announcements

• Important messages from Etlworks

When a new notification arrives, a badge indicator appears on the notifications icon in the toolbar. Clicking the icon opens the Notifications panel, where you can review unread and historical notifications.

Notifications are delivered in real time, ensuring users are immediately informed about important events without refreshing the page or signing out and back in.

Notifications Panel

Click the Notifications icon in the top toolbar to open the Notifications panel.

The panel includes two tabs:

• Unread – displays notifications that have not yet been reviewed.

• All – shows the complete history of notifications.

Each notification typically includes:

• A title

• A summary of the update or message

• The release date

• Optional labels or tags

• Links to additional information such as release notes

Notifications may also include quick actions such as:

• View details – opens the full release notes or documentation page

• Mark as read – clears the notification from the unread list

Users can also click Mark all as read at the bottom of the panel to clear all unread notifications.

Release Notifications

Release notifications inform users about new Etlworks versions and updates deployed to their environment.

When a new version is available or installed, a notification appears in the Notifications panel describing the update.

Release notifications typically include:

• Version number

• Release highlights

• Release date

• A link to full release notes

Multiple recent releases may be shown if several updates were applied between logins.

These notifications help teams quickly understand what has changed in the platform and discover new features and improvements.

Real-Time Notification Delivery

In-app notifications are delivered in real time using WebSocket events.

This means that when a new notification is published, connected users see it immediately without:

• refreshing the page

• restarting the application

• signing in again

This mechanism ensures that important announcements and release updates reach users as soon as they are available.

Managing Notifications

Each user manages their own notification state.

Notifications remain visible in the Unread tab until they are marked as read.

To manage notifications:

• Click Mark as read on an individual notification

• Click Mark all as read to clear the unread list

Marking notifications as read affects only the current user account and does not affect other users in the organization.
