Use server storage as a staging area

Overview

When you sign up for Etlworks, we create a storage volume in our servers exclusively available to your account. In this documentation, we will be referencing it as your Home folder.

Most of your files are likely going to be in the cloud or remote file storage, such as FTP, FTPS, SFTP, etc. 

Etlworks works perfectly well with all these storage systems, but in some cases it could be faster to process files stored locally in your Home folder. Once is done done processing these files, it can delete them.

Process

Follow the steps below to use a Home folder as a temporary staging area:

Step 1. Create a server storage Connection. 

Step 2. Copy or move files from the cloud or remote storage to the server storage.

Step 3. Process files from the server storage.

Step 4. Delete files in the server storage.
