Overview
When data objects are involved, for example, when working with files or web services, you must use data exchange formats.
When creating a data exchange Format, you are not defining fields and validation rules. Instead, you define parsing options, such as what delimiter is used for CSV or what namespace is used for XML.

Create Format
Step 1. Open Connections
, select Formats
, and click Add Format
.
Step 2. Select the corresponding Format type in the opened box.
To quickly find the desired Format type, you can enter all or part of its name in the search box. After this, only the Format types which contain the specified string in their names will be displayed.
To filter Formats by category, you can click the corresponding Format category from the list to the left of Format types.
Step 3. After the Format type has been selected, continue by entering the Format parameters.
Step 4. After the Format has been created, click Save
.
Manage Formats
All saved Formats are displayed in a grid on the Formats
page and can be quickly filtered by name and type.
Modify, duplicate, and delete Formats
Formats can be modified, duplicated, or deleted from within the grid.
- Click
Save
at the bottom right corner of the screen to update the Format. - Click
Duplicate
at the bottom left corner of the screen to duplicate the Format. - Click
Delete
at the bottom left corner of the screen to delete the Format.
Find Format usage
You can find all the Flows which are using a specific Format.
To find where the Format is used, click Find Usage
at the bottom of the screen.
Export and import Formats
Use Export/Import
to copy Formats between accounts or duplicate them with all the parameters.
